Cross Polination
Cross-Pollination: Fashion Diasporas was an international collaboration between The Museum at FIT, Fashion Institute of Technology (New York), and LASALLE College of the Arts (Singapore), exploring cultural narratives through fashion and textile practices.
The exhibition celebrated intercultural exchange and the transformation of research into contemporary design outcomes.
The collection has now evolved into Napeni SS/23. and is presented as part of our collection.
Upcycling Collaboration
This project is a collaboration between Lasalle × Coldwear SG to create garments inspired by Singaporean architecture, using upcycled materials from Coldwear’s defective products.
The design draws inspiration from St. Joseph’s Church in Bugis, which blends tradition and innovation, highlighted by elements such as the glass staircase that bring a modern and transparent quality. The garments explore the harmony between heritage and contemporary design, emphasizing creativity, sustainability, and appreciation for the beauty of local architecture.
The project was later recognised with a 2nd Place award in the Coldwear × LASALLE Upcycling Collaboration (September 2024), acknowledging its approach to translating architectural narratives into contemporary fashion through material exploration and sustainable design.
